Welcome To the Grove!
I’m so glad you’re here! I am Jen, the soap maker behind Gee Grove and a proud resident in the hills of rural Pennsylvania. I’ve lived here in Tioga County my entire life and love our home and acreage, which includes a maple grove where my husband and I were married. The name “Gee Grove” comes from the grove where he hand-built an altar for us to exchange our vows. Years ago, it was also a gathering place for our local community. The grove has a lot of history behind it and is a special part of our past, our present, and our future.
Every bar at Gee Grove is handcrafted in small batches in our home workshop with quality ingredients and fragrances. Most of my recipes include lard, olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil, but I also use a variety of bases besides water, such as goats milk and coconut milk. I love to experiment and truly love making soap. Many of my batches are limited edition because I am always creating something new, but I do restock the most popular soaps. I believe in making something that appeals to everyone and whether you’re drawn to something rich and woodsy, fresh, floral, fruity, masculine, or even something a little different, I am confident there is something you will love!
I carefully choose high-quality fragrances, and every bar is handcrafted with care. Each one has its own unique look and is made to be just as enjoyable to use as it is to look at.
